This Privacy Policy explains how TheRoom.ink ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our platform. TheRoom.ink is operated by Cameron Hughes, based in Upminster, England, United Kingdom.
WHO THIS APPLIES TO
This policy applies to all users of TheRoom.ink, including tattoo artists who sign up for accounts and clients who submit booking requests through artist booking pages.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
From artists (account holders):
- Full name and email address
- Profile information (bio, city, Instagram handle, tattoo styles)
- Account credentials (password, stored securely via Supabase)
- Google account information if you sign in via OAuth
From clients (booking requests):
- Full name, email address, and phone number
- Booking details — tattoo description, placement, size, preferred date and time
- Reference images uploaded with booking requests
- Payment information — collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store card details.
Automatically collected:
- IP address and browser/device information via our hosting provider (Railway)
- Usage data such as pages visited and actions taken on the platform
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
- To create and manage your artist account
- To process booking requests and deposits
- To send booking confirmation, reminder, and status emails
- To verify artist identities via Instagram DM
- To process subscription payments (artists)
- To improve and maintain the platform
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes. We do not use AI to process or analyse your data.
THIRD PARTIES WE SHARE DATA WITH
- Supabase — database and authentication provider.
- Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Resend — email delivery service.
- Railway — hosting provider.
- Google — if you sign in via OAuth.
DATA RETENTION
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days.

TheRoom.ink uses minimal cookies necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
SECURITY
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe.
CHILDREN
TheRoom.ink is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18.
